Overview
Ronseal End Grain Protector protects the cut ends of your decking against rot and decay. Help your decking last longer with this highly waterproof formulation, which locks out the water and is rainproof in as little as 90 minutes. It can also be painted over with stain or oil, so your deck will look great and stay healthy for longer.

| Clean Up | Take as much protector off your brush as possible. Then clean it in warm soapy water. |
Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.
- Ensure the wood is clean and dry to help the protector soak in.
- Scrub the decking with a stiff brush to remove dust, dirt and grease.
Application
Test a small area of the Decking End Grain Protector to ensure you are happy with the end results.
- Only apply on a warm day, above 10°C and ensure rain isn’t forecast.
- Stir the tin thoroughly to ensure the consistency is smooth, continue to stir the product throughout application.
- Liberally coat the deck ends.
- If you get any on the top of the boards, wipe off with a cloth.
- Leave a maximum of four hours for the first coat to dry.
- Apply a second coat.
- Leave another 4 hours before applying a stain or oil all over.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
Aftercare & Storage
Store any remaing product in a cool, dry space away from sunlight.
Don’t forget that the rest of your decking needs protecting, not just the end grains. Use a stain or oil to protect the rest of your decking such as Ronseal Ultimate Decking Stain or Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Oil.
