A woodstain for windows and doors which is guaranteed by Ronseal to last up to 10 years. The easy to apply formulation means you don't need a primer or a base could and the stain can be applied directly to the wood. It will protect your exterior wood from rain, frost, snow and sunshine and maintain a smooth finish as it will not crack, flake or peel. This satin finish will keep your doors and windows looking good year after year.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be painted is clean and free from dirt, dust and grease.
Bare Wood
- Lightly sand the window or door to even out imperfections and leave a smooth surface.
- Remove any dust and wipe the surface down by dampening a cloth with white spirit.
- If there are any holes or cracks fill them with a wood filler such as or .
Stained or Varnished Surfaces
- Wrap 120 grit sandpaper around a block and sand the surface of your door or window to remove old finishes.
- Let the dust settle and wipe it away with white spirit and a cloth.

- Any rotten wood must be treated with prior to filling.
Note: For veneer surfaces follow the supplier’s guidelines.
Application
We recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. Pick a dry day that is not too cold, above 10°C is the best temperature.
- Stir the tin well to make sure the colour pigment has been thoroughly mixed.
- Use a brush to apply in the direction of the wood grain.
- Apply 3 coats in total leaving 4 hours between each coat.
- Before applying the third coat lightly sand the surface.
- Wait 12 hours for the third coat to dry completely, it will be rainproof in just 1 hour.
Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Regulary clean your windows and doors to remove dirt and grime and keep them in better condition for longer.
Maintenance
If you notice any spots of damage, sand down the section and repeat the process to cover it up.
